I am now Post Op from an extended tummy tuck, breast lift and lipo.
See Plastic Surgery page for updates.

I dedicate this site to my partner Paul. For standing by me through all these "fat" years. Without him, this surgery would not have been possible - Thank you.

I have received an amazing amount of emails since my plastic surgery with questions and wanting details. I have made a plastic surgery page with alot of the questions I have been getting asked. Here are the details of who I went through. I researched for months before settling on this clinic and surgeon and I am 100% happy.

I created this site to share my journey with others. On April 4th 2005 I had life altering surgery in the form of Adjustable Gastric Banding or most commonly known as Lap Banding. I began researching the band back in 2003 when my weight hit an all time high. I was 27 years old, I weighed 110 kgs(243 lbs) I was on Anti Depressant medication, a heavy smoker, an Internet junkie and probably the most laziest person you have ever met.

This surgery has changed my life. I no longer spend my days "hanging out" with my friends on the net from morning to evening. I am out making new friends and enjoying exercise.

I am going to log updates as often as I can so anyone interested in the procedure can get an idea of things. I will not pretty any of it up. If I have problems or  bad day, you will know about it.

I have had a few hiccups, mainly to do with adjustments(fills). You need these to begin losing weight (most of the time). They inject saline into the port attached to your band and it tightens it. Until you reach a good restriction level, some people will not even feel like they have a band.

I am from Australia, but I will try to convert things so that people in the US and Australia can follow.So... if you want to know and see the good and bad of the band..Follow me and read on!

PS No matter how bad it gets, I would still have this op again in a heartbeat.
